Rockstar confirms GTA 6 preload date, install size and launch times ahead of November 19 release

Rockstar Games confirmed on November 3, 2026 that Grand Theft Auto 6 preloading begins November 10 ahead of the November 19 launch, with global release times and file size published. Rockstar also announced a free printable cover art poster and a map of Leonida, available as digital downloads on November 19, with a physical poster to follow. Sony and Microsoft are warning of console shortages before the launch and Black Friday. Xbox built a one-off alligator-shaped Series X called the X-Bite as a contest prize, in what GameSpot described as an indirect promotion of the game since Sony holds the marketing rights. Lighter coverage included Derbyshire police mocking a suspect who will miss the launch and a Wardogs developer telling fans to play GTA 6 while it takes December off.
