Turkey's parliament was set to vote on Wednesday to ratify a defence pact with Saudi Arabia and Pakistan that includes a collective defence clause, Reuters reported. The pact comes as Saudi Arabia faces attacks by Yemen's Houthis. Ratification gives Ankara a formal mutual defence obligation toward Riyadh but does not by itself send Turkish forces there, which would require a separate parliamentary mandate.
