Saudi Arabia and Syria signed a defence cooperation agreement between their defence ministries in Riyadh on Wednesday, Saudi state news agency SPA reported. The signing came during a visit by Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa, who met Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in their second meeting in about a month. Details of the agreement have not been disclosed, and the deal comes as the kingdom faces missile and drone attacks from Yemen's Houthis.
