A new study finds Manx shearwaters fly so fast that their internal clocks fall out of sync with local time. The jet lag-like shifts confuse their sun-based compasses. The birds become slightly disoriented and can fly slightly off course, according to Smithsonian Magazine. The findings describe a navigation effect in a fast-flying seabird.
