Voters decided several state ballot measures on November 3, rejecting a Missouri abortion ban and approving abortion rights in Virginia and redistricting changes in Maryland. Missouri voters defeated a measure that would have reimposed an abortion ban, coupled with a ban on transgender treatment for minors, which opponents called misleading. Virginia voters added a right to reproductive freedom to the state constitution, allowing regulation only in the third trimester. Maryland voters passed a Democratic-backed amendment that could let lawmakers redraw congressional districts before 2028.
