South Korean authorities are seeking ways to sharply reduce screen time among children and teenagers. FRANCE 24 reported that an estimated 40 percent of young children and teens in the country are addicted to their mobile devices. The report noted that cutting usage is a major challenge in a hyper-connected society. It set the South Korean effort alongside France's recent Constitutional Council ruling overturning a social media ban for children under 15 and smartphone bans in some French schools.
