The Living Museum, a collection of artists' work, sits inside a building on the grounds of the Creedmoor Psychiatric Center in Queens, New York, Atlas Obscura reported. Established in 1983, it is a working creative space where psychiatric patients make paintings, sculptures, installations and mixed-media works. Artwork fills walls, rooms and exhibition spaces, and individual artists maintain their own studios and develop work alongside one another. The museum also includes a music space.
