Israel's Diaspora Affairs Ministry warned that attacks on synagogues worldwide are becoming more deadly, even as bomb threats against US synagogues fell. A ministry report said bomb threats fell from 1,009 in 2023 to 59 in 2025, while antisemitic attacks involving lethal weapons rose. In Berlin, police leaders gathered to address rising antisemitism ahead of the Kristallnacht anniversary, with George Shefi, 94, one of the last surviving witnesses, expected to speak alongside Jochen Kopelke of the German Police Union.
