Turkey's parliament ratified the Mecca Joint Defence Agreement on 5 November, clearing the way for Ankara to send military support to Saudi Arabia. The pact was signed in August by Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkey and sent to parliament last month, and it states that an attack on one party is an attack on all. The ratification comes amid attacks by Yemen's Houthis against the kingdom.
