Perplexity launched Teammates, always-on AI agents that can take on multiple roles within a workspace. The agents pull existing projects, skills and memory from Perplexity tools. Perplexity says Teammates build on Perplexity Computer, which deploys agents on a user's device, by adding ongoing collaboration. The company is positioning it against OpenAI and Anthropic.
