GDACS issued green forest fire notifications for Botswana, the Central African Republic and Sudan, with fires recorded between 28 October and 4 November 2026 and reported as continuing until 5 November. Botswana accounts for three of the alerts, with fires dated 2, 3 and 4 November, while the Central African Republic and Sudan were covered by alerts for fires starting on 28 and 30 October. The notifications are low-level alerts and give no figures for area burned, people affected, deaths, injuries or damage, and none are reported in the excerpts.
