Two new Ebola vaccine candidates will be added to a clinical trial in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, UN News reported on 5 November 2026. The trial comes as the country continues to battle a deadly outbreak caused by the Bundibugyo species of the virus. UN News reported the addition of the two candidates but gave no further detail on their developers, the trial sites or the scale of the outbreak.
