US President Donald Trump said the Ukraine war was close to being settled and that ending it might involve "all of Europe," according to Deutsche Welle on 5 November 2026. He described the prospect of a "big, beautiful" Russia-Ukraine deal without setting out its terms. The remarks come as Russian and Ukrainian delegations prepare for US-hosted talks in Abu Dhabi aimed at ending the war, now in its fifth year. The reports did not give details of the proposed terms or any response from Moscow or Kyiv.
