Russell Brand was found guilty of rape and sexual assault at a UK trial, with the judge telling him to expect a prison sentence of some length, the BBC reported on November 6, 2026. The BBC said further rape allegations against him can now be reported. TMZ reported that Bar Council chair Kirsty Brimelow told Sky News he faces between six and nine years in prison, and that Detective Superintendent Andy Furphy, who oversaw the investigation, said Brand remains a danger to women. Us Weekly published an explainer on the allegations, which first surfaced in a September 2023 Times article in which four women accused him of assaults between 2006 and 2013.
