A juvenile orangutan seized from an apartment in Mumbai in 2024 has been repatriated to Indonesia, Mongabay reported. The animal was transferred to the Sumatra Rescue Alliance facility on Sumatra, where experts will prepare it for eventual release. The repatriation followed two years of health and procedural delays, raising hopes for five more orangutans.
