US President Donald Trump said a major deal affecting Ukraine and all of Europe could be reached soon, without giving details, after a meeting with Kremlin envoy Kirill Dmitriev. Jared Kushner outlined a European security plan with five objectives, including crisis communications, military transparency, de-escalation and national sovereignty, while keeping NATO central to European defense. Kushner said Washington has prepared proposals for peace talks with Ukraine and Russia next week in Abu Dhabi, which would be trilateral and involve the United States. Zelensky said he asked Washington to broker a winter ceasefire protecting Ukraine's energy supplies and said voting under martial law would be unfair to soldiers, refugees and residents of occupied territories. Ukrainian negotiating teams met in Brussels on November 4 and 5 to discuss security guarantees and preparations for Abu Dhabi, and Zelensky said Ukraine will propose extending the Oleshky evacuation model to other occupied territories. First Lady Melania Trump received Ukraine's Order of Princess Olga at a White House ceremony marking the Oleshky humanitarian ceasefire.
