UK ministers announced a new Ukrainian General Certificate of Secondary Education for England, Wales and Northern Ireland, with teaching expected from September 2028 and first assessments in 2029. Schools Minister Georgia Gould apologized to refugees who were encouraged to take Russian in its absence.
