Al Qasr Al Ghamedh, also known as the Haunted Palace, is a landmark on a hill in Ras Al Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates, Atlas Obscura reported. Commissioned by the late Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al Qasimi, construction began in 1975 and took years to complete. Despite being built as a grand private residence, the palace remained largely unoccupied for around 35 years. Stories of it being haunted have spread over time, and it has developed a reputation as one of the emirate's most fascinating sites.
