Several hundred activists occupied the construction site of a planned Microsoft data centre in Amsterdam on Friday, halting work to protest the company's alleged role in facilitating Israel's actions in Gaza and the environmental impact of AI infrastructure. The demonstration was organised by the climate and justice collective Geef Tegengas and the environmental group Fossielvrij.
