The Norwegian government announced an allocation of 500 million Norwegian kroner, about $54 million, through the World Bank to finance Ukraine's state budget for early 2027. Kyiv Post reported that the funds will cover salaries for teachers and healthcare workers, state pensions and social payments. Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide said maintaining public institutions is essential to national resilience.
