Russia launched missile strikes on Kyiv and the surrounding region overnight, targeting energy infrastructure, and at least five people were injured, authorities said. Deutsche Welle reported that the strikes also hit a major bridge. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy accused Moscow of trying to push Ukraine into a blackout ahead of the talks, and France 24 reported the attack as Ukraine prepares for new negotiations. A trilateral meeting between Russia, Ukraine and the United States is scheduled for next week in Abu Dhabi as a new round of talks aimed at ending the war. The strikes have raised pressure on the negotiations as both sides position themselves ahead of the meeting.
