Claim
Haaretz argued that soldiers are carrying out expulsions under the guise of military operations
Attributed to Haaretz
Evidence
A search found a Haaretz opinion piece. Its title is "Stop Calling It an 'Operation.' Israeli Soldiers Aren't Exercising". Its standfirst says that from Hebron to Gaza, soldiers are carrying out expulsions of Palestinians under the guise of military operations. A Substack news roundup (A Skeptic News) repeats the same line. I found no Reuters, AFP, Bellingcat or EUvsDisinfo fact-check of this claim. The piece is an opinion column. The search result did not show an author, and the URL date looks odd, so I could not confirm the publication date. The text I saw was only the free excerpt.
Assessment
Haaretz did publish an opinion piece making this argument. Because it is an opinion piece, the claim is accurate only if it is read as the view of the writer, not of Haaretz as an institution, and I could not see the author or the full text.
Confidence
Some independent corroboration was found, but it isn't yet conclusive.
