A Ukrainian drone attack struck the Slavneft-Yanos oil refinery in Yaroslavl, killing one person and sparking a fire. The refinery has been targeted multiple times this year as part of Ukraine's ongoing campaign against Russian oil and fuel infrastructure. The cumulative effect of this and other refinery strikes has become apparent: Russian petrol production has fallen to about 80,000 tonnes a day, covering only around 70% of summer demand, according to industry data, as Ukrainian drone strikes have forced shutdowns at major refineries across the country. The shortfall underscores the growing strain Ukraine's deep-strike campaign is placing on Russia's domestic fuel supply.
