On 26-27 September, Russia launched a large barrage of drones and missiles at Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast, striking Kyivstar's head office and a data centre twice in one morning, damaging telecom infrastructure that caused cable TV and streaming outages across the country. Strikes also hit a nine-storey apartment building in Darnytskyi district, an office building in Holosiivskyi district, warehouses in Solomianskyi district, the Zammler logistics warehouse, and the Kärcher company warehouse, with drone debris and falling wreckage reported in multiple districts. President Zelenskyy said the Saudi ambassador's residence, schools and kindergartens were also damaged. Casualties included a man killed in Solomianskyi district and several people, including teenagers, injured across the capital; one person was killed and four injured in a separate Kyiv Oblast attack. The strikes highlight Russia's continued targeting of civilian and commercial infrastructure in the capital as part of its broader campaign against Ukraine's telecommunications and logistics networks.
