A UK court sentenced Norwegian teenager Johannes Kongsnes Natland, 19, to 20 years' detention on October 16, 2026, after he was convicted of conspiring to carry out a contract killing for $28,000 after being recruited online by the Foxtrot Network, a Swedish organized crime group. British and US officials allege the network has been used by the Iranian state to carry out "violence as a service," including attacks on Israeli and Jewish targets in Europe; Natland was arrested in a Huddersfield hotel room in March 2025 with two firearms and ammunition.
